Associate Director of Digital Marketing:
The associate director of digital marketing will help develop and implement strategies to promote the brand and products of Faith+Lead, Luther Seminary’s innovative hub of learning opportunities and digital resources serving Christian communities and their leaders outside of degree programs. Faith+Lead—a startup within a 150-year-old educational institution—is looking for a fresh, innovative digital marketing manager to support our creative and digital team. This position will report to the director of digital strategy.
Associate Director of Digital Marketing Responsibilities:
· Oversee marketing campaigns for Faith+Lead offerings.
· Manage marketing channels, including email, social media, website copy, and digital ads to deliver a persuasive and cohesive marketing message to the FL audience.
· Provide strategic oversight of the design and implementation of cross-channel marketing campaigns.
· Write, edit, and approve copy and visuals for the Faith+Lead platform and social media channels.
· Oversee creation of marketing funnels and drive email marketing, newsletter, messaging, and social media strategy.
· Be obsessive about marketing metrics, KPIs, and conversion rates. Create and update regular reports to ensure that campaigns are being optimized.
· A/B test and optimize landing pages, funnels, and ad campaigns.
· Craft and care for FL voice and tone so that there is consistency across all platforms.
· Find and manage marketing creatives and contractors as appropriate.
· Coordinate with marketing, design, writing teams, and project management teams to ensure timely delivery of assignments.
· Keep up to date with marketing trends, consumer preferences, and advancements in technology.
Associate Director of Digital Marketing Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or equivalent work experience.
· 3-5 years’ experience in marketing strategy, digital marketing, campaign management, and/or email marketing.
· Experience creating multi-step marketing campaigns and digital funnels, including lead magnets, landing pages, email marketing, digital ads, social media posts, and more.
· A strong track record of crafting high-level messaging/branding strategies.
· A passion for conversion and optimization of digital marketing campaigns.
· A playful, nimble attitude that brings curiosity and joy to the work, and a willingness to make fast changes based on results.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities.
· Passionate about being the change through innovation and fresh thinking
· Familiarity with Christian organizations helpful
· Experience working with all levels in an organization; must be a team player and able to work
collaboratively with and through others
· Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and work independently, using creativity and
initiative to overcome obstacles and complete tasks accurately and on deadline
· Digital proficiency and a curiosity for emerging technologies
