JOB TITLE: IT Business Analyst REPORTS TO: Director of Information SystemsCLASSIFICATION: ExemptWORK ARRANGEMENT: HybridSALARY RANGE: $60,000 – $75,000 SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:Reviews operational processes across the Credit Union’s business areas to ensure that the business applications and technological solutions are being fully utilized. Assists in the definition of technology solutions for assigned business problems through the development of business cases, cost analysis, and system specifications. Assists business units with analysis and scoping of requested enhancements, project conversions, or additions of applications involving information technology. Assisting with project implementation by securing and aligning IT resources both internally and with 3rd party service partners. Provides project management across a portfolio of technology activities. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Leverages business analyst best practices, coupled with financial operations knowledge, to work with business units throughout the organization and properly capture scope of requested work.Will act as an internal subject matter expert on the deployed technology solutions to facilitate business process changes and re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiency. Identifies necessary resources and negotiates with project stakeholders or service partners to obtain associated personnel. Develops or updates project plans for information technology projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, scheduling, and funding.Assists with the Symitar Core System processes required for operations in a credit union environment including system settings, administration of job scheduling, and verification of processing results.Develops and manages internal procedures and documents to provide a high level of application integrity and availability and to ensure timely, effective support.Reconciles vendor driven enhancements with user requested improvements to determine appropriate level of vendor vs. in-house work necessary to meet user needs.Delivers superior customer service while managing relationships with end users, business area leaders, partners, and vendors throughout the Credit Union environment. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:Able to execute multiple complex projects within required timelines. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a time sensitive environment.Excellent communication skills required, including reports, presentations, and group facilitation skills.Proven ability to partner effectively with all current or new vendors.Proven ability to partner effectively across all levels of the organization and develop positive working relationships.Demonstrated conceptual thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.Stays current with emerging technology trends.Keen attention to detailA significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Scope of work will include access to sensitive data and financial perspectives requiring extreme confidentiality.
