Under the I2TS 3 task order INSCOM ensures reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of customer need to support INSCOM’s mission. INSCOM and its MSCs provide the enabling layer to connect the Army and its tactical formations to defense and national intelligence agencies via tactical networks. The ability to provide mission critical intelligence is dependent on the successful use of its information technology (IT) networks worldwide.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:An I2TS3 Network Administrator Advisor (F5, ASA, Palo Alto) – TS/SCI required specializing in application and security Devices such as will be responsible for the following but not limited to:This administrator will be part of a multi-functional team providing engineering and operational support for all systems that comprise the United States Army Intelligence and Security Command’s (INSCOM) security perimeter architecture and network DMZs.Functional tasks include system engineering, operation and support of The F5 Layer 7 Application Delivery platform, Next-generation Firewalls, Intrusion and Prevention Systems as required by DOD and Army policy, as well as INSCOM operational requirements.Document all task accomplishments in Remedy ITSM, technical SOPs and/or other technical sources and work with the various established IT support elements, and Application Development teams to coordinate resolutions to complex IT issues and requirements.Standard administrative tasks include individual time, timesheet, leave, and training completion; performance management; compliance with customer organization and company standards; performing other tasks as assigned and demonstrating proficiency, accuracy and attention to detail in assigned duties.Works under the supervision of the CIOG6 and in direct support of government and contractor staff.Troubleshoots all aspects of the Application Delivery architecture effectively and understands the overall configuration, logic flow, and component integration with other systems within the architecture.Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP based networking components and logicAdvanced knowledge of TCP/IP based web application logicAdvanced knowledge of flow-aware security devices such as firewalls and layer 7 proxiesShould have good understanding of Linux shell operationWorking knowledge of virtual private networks and IP routingKnowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP and other communication protocols and services: DNS, SNMP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, LDAPS, OCSP, IPSEC, SSH, KerberosExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands with little oversight.Strong working knowledge of Internet networking technologies and principals including TCP/IP and TCP/IP based services and applications.Proven ability to absorb, master and leverage emerging technologies.General working knowledge of Microsoft web platforms and technologies including IIS and SharePoint.Proven ability to work in both a team environment and independentlyExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills.Exceptional troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.Strong time and attention management skills.Strong attention to detail.Technical diagramming (Visio) and documentation capabilities (Word, PowerPoint).Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills.Working knowledge of DISA’s Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS) for systems and applications.F5 Certified BIG-IP AdministratorF5 Certified Technology SpecialistHigh-level problem-solving skills for complex systems.Detail-oriented and possesses the ability to handle multiple tasksWorking ability to provide incident and after action reports and analysisAdvanced understanding of security architectures and computer networks (LANs, net connections and IP) including common ports and protocols used by enterprise applications.Working knowledge and use of the windows command prompt; ability to conduct standard troubleshooting activities with the command prompt.Knowledge of planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and operation of all aspects of:Layer 7 Application Delivery Controllers and ProxiesNext Generation FirewallsProxiesIntrusion and Prevention SystemsNetwork switches and routersNetwork access (TACACS+, AD), monitoring (SNMP, Netflow), and logging (Syslog, Splunk)Certification(s):IAT II 8570 Baseline Certification – Sec+ CE or equivalentOne of the following Computing Environment Certifications:CCNPCCDEBrocade Certified Ethernet Fabric IP MasterBrocade Certified IP MasterF5 Certified Solution Expert,Juniper Networks Certified Design Specialist – Security DesignVMware Certified Advanced Professional – Network Virtualization DeploymentEducation:High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate’s Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 4 years of experienceClearance:TS/SCIAdditional:Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contractTravel maybe required to support the mission#GDITINSCOM#I2TS3#GDITpriority#GDITArmy
