Make an impact by advancing the Department of Defense’s mission to keep our country safe and secure.Job DescriptionPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:An I2TS 3 Network Administrator:Performs administration duties for networking hardware including routers, switches, hubs, gateways, access points, network interface cards, networking cables, firewalls and other related network hardwareMust have firm grasp and knowledge of fiber and copper-based Ethernet technologies, capabilities and cabling and their connectivity to local and wide area networksMonitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniquesInstalls and configures network hardware and softwareProvides network troubleshooting and supportProvides technical support and training to end-usersAdministers network securitySets up new users and deletes old users from the networkTroubleshoots and resolves issues with network infrastructure and/or components Desirable Skills / Experience:Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and supportExperience with routers, switches, patch panels, and related network hardware and softwareComprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applicationsComprehensive understanding of VOIP/VTC technologiesEducation RequiredHigh School Diploma/GED with 8 years of related experience, or Associate’s Degree with 6 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 2 years of experienceCertifications:DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contractRequired Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalentComputing Environment (CE) certification: CCNASecurity Clearance:TS/SCI requiredAdditional:Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contractPosition may require lifting of objects (i.e.; IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity#GDITINSCOM#I2TS3#GDITPriority
