The Product Manager must live within reasonable commuting distance to our Lisle, IL, Elkhart, IN, or Farmington Hills, MI locations. This is a hybrid role where you will work 2-3 days per week onsite and the remainder from your home office. In the future, you may also travel domestically and internationally up to 25%, as required. Currently, travel is limited.
Your Qualifications
To be a good fit for the job of Product Manager, you will have:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business or Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)
Experience and proven success (typically 3+ years) in a product management or engineering role where physical products are produced. The ideal candidate will have sensor mechatronics or Tier 1 automotive with experience supporting products such as interior safety systems, airbags, seatbelts, etc., electrical powertrain, or motor controls.
Global experience preferred.
Automotive sensor experience preferred.
Electric Vehicle (EV) experience is a plus.
Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
Your Role
Reporting to the Director of Product and Program Management, as Product Manager, Sensors and Mechatronics (Sensor Product Line: Non-EV), you will be responsible for product planning, marketing, and lifecycle management for our automotive sensor portfolio. You will define, create, and execute product strategies, including the product roadmap, pricing strategies, and cost efficiency plans, and own the product revenue and margin forecasts that reflect strategic expectations. Additionally, you will be responsible for market, competitive and consumer insights analysis and identification of trends that will lead to product vision, customer satisfaction and profitable growth of the automotive sensor product line portfolio.
