Job Description SummaryThe Sr Staff Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for partnering with core development teams to plan and deliver the infusion of secure development resources into their teams. You will also own the delivery of Security as Code to include the strategy, tool selection, process definition, and day-to-day management of the Secure DevOps function. You will also coordinate with other GE Business Units to tailor an approach specifically for the business’ needs as Aerospace looks to separate from the other businesses.As part of the GE Aerospace Infrastructure separation workstream, the Sr Staff Cyber Security Engineer, is a temporary role that will support the separation of GE Aerospace into an independent, investor-grade company.Job DescriptionRole and Responsibilities:We are seeking a highly motivated IT professional to own Secure Development and Security DevOps for the Security Team. The successful candidate will own the management of secure development resources.You will collaborate with software development teams across GE to establish and drive industry-leading patterns to create products and services, provide insights directly to developers, and operate like developers to make security and compliance available as consumable services to support Aerospace during it’s separation.While leading a core team, this person will have the opportunity to help guide software architecture across a wide variety of technologies and domains. Working with a global team, you will drive the successful implementation of software to support cutting edge products in power generation and water technologies.In this role, you will:• Work to design implement projects to transform products within the CTR portfolio through automation orchestration opportunities• Collaborate with development team leaders to create an open forum for identifying needs / requirements and promoting a Security DevOps service• A focus on automation & orchestration and furthering the integration of Cyber Security & Risk management into the native development workflow; experience across GE• Know and track its capabilities and active GE projects being deployed on• Partner with the solution architecture and application teams to reduce any barriers to Entry• Collaborate with the solutions architecture, automation and operations teams to establish continuity between security, architecture, development and operations• Lean in to enable the use of cloud-native services from a variety of IaaS providers and platforms, such as AWS, Azure and CloudFoundry through security as code• Contribute to the development of infrastructure platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses• Promote the utilization of CI / CD tools for automating builds, testing and deploymentsEducation Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experienceMinimum 5 years of professional experience in Cyber Security EngineeringNote: Military experience is equivalent to professional experienceEligibility Requirement:-Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
