Network Security Engineer

The network security engineer is responsible for completing a thorough risk assessment, identifying vulnerabilities within a network, and creating firewalls, or configuring systems to enhance existing security features.*Job Responsibilities*· Planning, engineering, and monitoring the security arrangements for the protection of the network systems;· Identifying, monitoring, and defining the requirements of the overall security of the system;· Configuring and implementing intrusion detection systems and firewalls;· Maintaining firewalls, virtual private networks, web protocols, and email security;· Configuring and installing network and security infrastructure devices;· Investigating intrusion and hacking incidents, collecting incident responses, and carrying out forensic investigations;· Identifying and evaluating latest technologies and processes that improve the overall security of the system;· Using industry-standard analysis criteria to test the security level of the firm;· Developing tracking documents to note system vulnerabilities;· Reporting the security analysis and monitoring findings;· Supervising the configuration and installation of new software and hardware;· Implementing regulatory systems in accordance with IT security;· Informing the company about the security incidents as soon as possible;· Modifying the technical, legal, and regulatory aspects of the system security;· Defining and maintaining security policies;· Occasionally replacing the security system protocol and architecture;· Evaluate, Setup, & Maintain network hardware;· Perform other required tasks as assigned.*Job Requirements*· Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology (IT), information systems (IS), computer programming, engineering, computer science, or related fields;· Experience in cybersecurity preferred;· Proven work experience in IT;· Proficiency in conducting regular vulnerability assessments of the systems to prevent any security incident;· Experience with Powershell, Power BI, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft PDQ preferred;· Expertise in penetration testing, networking, system administration, and operating systems;· Awareness of the latest methods used by hackers and malicious elements to break into systems;· Competency to use the available tools to discover any dubious movement in the system;· Capability to manage risk and ensure disaster recovery in case of a security event;· Effective communication with team members and senior management;· Knowledge of cyber laws and compliance requirements;· Ability to conduct an in-depth analysis of computer networks and identify any vulnerabilities or gaps in the system;· Attention to detail;· Quick decision-making to ensure faster recovery in case of a security event;· Provide high level technical support \ direction to the Help Desk Team;· Ability and availability of working off-hours and weekends as needed;· Ability to travel domestically and internationally (10-15%).Job Type: Full-timePay: $77,000.00 – $86,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Referral program* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Weekend availabilityAbility to commute/relocate:* Avon, IN 46123: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
